Generate Lessons from a Unit
Now that your unit is ready, you might like to zoom in and create detailed lessons (or not).
Eased UP Classmates are aware of resources in the Knowledge Base, and after following this guide, you already have one. Alternatively, if you have an existing unit document that you want to contextualise, start a New Space and upload it.
In other tools, you may need to upload or copy/paste the unit plan as context.
Now, simply ask your Classmate to 'Create a lesson plan for lesson 1'. It will use the unit to create a more detailed lesson plan with steps, assessment markers, differentiation ideas and suggest a student handout.
Now, you can refine
- Sick of KWL charts? Ask for alternatives, pick one and ask the AI to swap it out.
- Students bored of turn and talk? Ask for suggested discussion activities and get AI to make the changes for you.
- Don't want to start with explicit instruction? Ask for ideas to create a quality hook or engaging starter activity.
AI isn't making decisions for you, it is supporting your professional judgement to adapt and refine.
Remember, Eased UP has template settings so you can guide the output to have the headings you want ⚙️.
If using another tool, you may need to include more indepth guidance and instructions.
Using the following unit plan, create a detailed lesson outline for Lesson 1 that introduces hybrid genres through mentor texts. Ensure the lesson follows the unit and sets up for the next lesson without disrupting the intended sequence. Provide a brief overview, LISC, any required materials, clear steps, examples for support and challenge, relevant assessment markers and a prompt for a suggested handout to capture meaningful student learning.
